ABOUT
RYAH GILES

A steady hand on a day that moves fast.
Photography has been part of Ryah's life since she first picked up a camera at ten years old. By 20, she was working professionally in a Cincinnati studio under the mentorship of a Master PPA photographer—an experience that shaped her understanding of portraiture, craftsmanship, and the quiet precision behind exceptional wedding photography.
More than three decades later, that foundation still guides everything she creates.
Ryah approaches weddings with calm intuition and an artist's eye. She believes meaningful photographs are rarely forced. They live in movement, emotion, atmosphere, and the moments unfolding naturally between people who matter to each other.
Her approach is deeply documentary — observing rather than interrupting, guiding when needed, disappearing when it matters most.
Often working with longer lenses and a quiet presence, she allows space for emotion to unfold authentically so couples can remain fully present inside their day.
Black and white sit at the center of her work.
Without the distraction of color, emotion becomes clearer. Expression becomes timeless. Story becomes the focus.
While color still has its place when the story calls for it, Ryah is drawn to imagery that feels soulful, moody, and enduring — photographs that reveal not simply how a moment looked, but how it felt.
She believes your walls deserve more than perfect smiles and carefully posed photographs.
They deserve moments.
The quiet ones. The imperfect ones. The ones that become part of your family's history.
Today, from her private studio, Ryah continues creating intentional imagery for couples who value authenticity, artistry, and photographs that feel as meaningful decades later as they did on the day they were made.
Because the photographs should still feel true twenty years from now.
